Dangers of At-Home Plastic Surgery
At-home plastic surgery is on the rise. For women living in Los Angeles cosmetic surgery is a daily topic of who has had it and who wants it, and there are women going to extreme levels to get it; with such easy availability of products and the economy on the downfall, more women are attempting at home plastic surgery. This is very dangerous. Not only may people be trying to con you online by making you buy the mislabeled products, you yourself don’t know exactly what it is that the professionals use. Los Angeles Cosmetic surgeons are performing reconstructive surgeries on people more often than needed because of this at-home plastic surgery craze.
Women are beginning to follow instructions from other women’s videos posted on “YouTube”. Recently in the news a lady from California longed to have a few procedures done to her face. Living in Los Angeles plastic surgery is one of those things that is extremely common. All the women she knew had had a bit of work done and they looked great. She looked into the pricing and decided she really could not afford it at the moment, so she proceeded to buy a jar of silicone online for only ten dollars. Thinking she hit the jackpot and could do this herself she injected the silicone all around her lips and cheeks. At first glance she was satisfied with the results she got and she believed nothing could go wrong. She followed a “YouTube” video step-by-step and even sterilized everything with household cleaners. The lady then went to bed and when she woke up her cheeks and lips were severely inflamed and had what looked like little balls under the skin.
She then had no choice but to visit a surgeon to find out what went wrong and to see if he could correct the damage. She soon found out she had injected a 100% silicone into her face. That’s the kind of silicone used in toys that hardens, not the kind that can be injected into the body. Her reaction to the silicone could have been much worse, and for some women it has been. Los angeles plastic surgeons fear these YouTube videos instructing people on how to perform these procedures and advise you not to attempt procedures at home for any reason. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon if you’d like to have a plastic surgery and speak to him about your financing options.
